Nature Trails

The Nature Trails at Cawdor
Within the woods surrounding the Castle are 5 waymarked nature trails, varying in length from ¾ mile to 5 miles. Four of the five trails start from the Flower Garden; the exception being the violet trail which starts from the Blue bridge. The layout of the trails offers you the choice to continue on a longer trail if you wish (e.g. The Red Trail meets the Blue trail at the New Bridge. If you wish to continue further follow the Blue arrows or if you wish to return to the Castle follow the red directional arrows).

If you lose your way in the wood, walk until you come to a burn or stream and follow it downstream. All burns lead to the Castle.

 Do's and Dont's

 PLEASE DO:
» Stay on the waymarked trails
» Respect the countryside and wildlife
» Enjoy your walk on the trails

 PLEASE DO NOT:
 » Drop Litter
» Pick wild flowers or plants
» Play beside the burns unless with an adult
 » Light fires

» Sorry - No dogs on the trails
